Job description

Summary
This position is located at Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation: Outdoor Recreation. This is a flexible position (0-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans.
Subsequent referrals to the Hiring Manager will occur weekly. The first cut-off date for this position will be September 1st 2026 Then every Tuesday thereafter until all positions are filled.

Duties
Help
  • Works as an assistant for the Facilities Operations Team Leader who makes specific assignments, explains polices and procedures and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects.
  • Opens and/or closes facilities by locking/unlocking doors and windows, and assuring security system is
    operable.
  • Issues/receives recreational equipment to authorized users. Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected safeguards funds and makes daily bank deposits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation and health assessment.
  • Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
  • Must be able and willing to accept a Flexible appointment.
  • Must be able and willing to lift up to 45lbs.
  • Must be able and willing to occasionally operate varying motor vehicles to include forklifts and occasionally tow recreation vehicles.
  • Must be able and willing to obtain Forklift Training and Evaluation with 90 days of employment.
  • Must be able and willing to occasionally operate motorized equipment such as lawnmowers and weed eaters to upkeep grounds.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by time of appointment per Department of Labor's Federal Age Requirements (estimated time of appointment 09/30/2026).

  • Demonstrated ability to performs the duties described above.

  • This job is open to candidates who reside within 80 miles of Fort Huachuca. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
