JOB SUMMARY
The Youth Soccer Coach will be responsible for the coaching of soccer camps and clinics around the DMV area throughout the year. The youth soccer coach will deliver from different curricula depending on the program. In addition, the coach will actively scout and recommend players for DC United's Regional Development School program. The coach will report directly to the Director of Youth Programs.
COMPENSATION
The pay range begins at $20/hour for an individual with a USSF Grassroots License USC Level 1-6. The hourly rate increases from there based on licensure and experience, and tops out at $50/hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • A coach's working week is comprised of on field coaching hours & administration duties
  • Required to attend mandatory paid pre-season orientation event(s)
  • Assist in Regional Development School (RDS) tryouts as needed
  • Scout/recommend talented, potential RDS players.
  • Organize and assist in the running of other camps/clinics/tryouts throughout the year.
  • Assist with Community Relations events as needed.
  • Assist with training for affiliate programs as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A current US Soccer D license coach or equivalent (minimum)
  • Possess the drive to develop youth players and work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of MLS/DMV soccer landscape preferred
  • Available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends & holidays
  • Have the ability to plan, create, execute and document training sessions and programs
  • Valid US Driver's License Compensation
  • Hourly (scale depending on coaching license)
  • The selected individual will need to successfully complete a background check.
