The Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) will:

· Assist our residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to: showers and grooming, patient safety, and charting

· Document all patient care in the electronic medical records system

· Always promote the highest level of customer experience when interacting with family members, visitors, and co-workers


Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) must have the following:

· Certified Nursing Assistant Certification per state requirements

· Ability to work every other weekend

· Compliant with the state’s Health Care Worker Background Check requirements with respect to criminal history

Requirements:

Required/Desired Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Must possess a current Michigan Certified Nurse Aide Certification or have completed a Michigan approved CNA training program and are eligible to test. Must be certified within 4 months of hire.

- One year of experience in long-term care, hospice, or healthcare desired (not required).


Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:

- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.

- The ability to verbally communicate with residents, staff, and visitors.

- Shows dependability by being punctual and maintaining good attendance.

- The ability to maintain a safe environment for Residents and co-workers.

- The ability to transport Residents and equipment as needed.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.


Other Special Requirements:

- Ability to work nights and weekends to accommodate the needs of the guests.

- Tolerate potential exposure to blood, body tissues, and fluids with occasional exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases.

- Manual dexterity required to operate modern office equipment.

- Ability to travel as needed or assigned.
