Summary of Job Duties:
Maintain attendance records and report student deficiencies to Clinical Coordinator and/or Director of Nursing Programs. Provide regular updates on student progress to Clinical Coordinator and/or Director of Nursing Programs. Be knowledgeable of and uphold the program's Student Handbook policies, program procedures, and program/course requirements. Complies with South Arkansas Community College Governing Board Policy and state and federal policy, including FERPA. Use established course syllabus, outline, and calendar to teach each assigned course. Work collaboratively with other faculty. Evaluate student performance and provide feedback. Coordinate clinical experiences for students at each clinical site. Communicate student learning outcomes for student performance to the clinical facility administrator and nursing staff. Collaborate with healthcare agency personnel to maximize student learning opportunities. Provide instruction to students in the clinical and campus/simulation lab settings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
Active, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Arkansas
Minimum of one (1) year of recent clinical practice
