To thrive as a Part Time Clinic RN, you need a current RN license, strong clinical assessment skills, and experience in outpatient care. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), basic diagnostic tools, and compliance with HIPAA are typically required. Excellent communication, time management, and the ability to work independently are valuable soft skills in this setting. These competencies ensure efficient patient care, accurate documentation, and effective collaboration within a busy clinic environment.

What are some common challenges faced by part-time clinic RNs, and how can they effectively integrate with the full-time team?

Part-time clinic RNs often encounter challenges such as staying updated with evolving clinic protocols and maintaining continuity of patient care due to less frequent shifts. Effective communication and thorough documentation are essential to bridge any gaps between shifts. Proactively participating in team meetings and staying engaged with digital communication tools can help part-time RNs stay informed and connected with their colleagues and workflow changes. Building strong relationships with full-time staff also fosters a collaborative environment and ensures seamless patient care.

What are Part Time Clinic RNs?

Part Time Clinic Registered Nurses (RNs) are licensed nursing professionals who work fewer hours than full-time staff, typically in outpatient clinic settings. They provide patient care, assist with medical procedures, administer medications, and educate patients about treatment plans. Part-time roles offer flexibility in scheduling, making them ideal for nurses who need to balance work with other commitments. Despite working fewer hours, part-time clinic RNs are expected to maintain the same standards of care and professionalism as their full-time counterparts.

Job description

About the Practice
We are an established wellness clinic located in the Seattle North area, operating primarily on a cash-pay model and focused on personalized, patient-centered care. Our current services are rooted in integrative and wellness-based medicine, with a stable patient base and operational infrastructure.
As part of our strategic growth plan, the clinic is expanding into aesthetic services. This position is designed for an experienced Aesthetic ARNP who is interested in helping launch and grow a new aesthetic service line within an existing, well-supported clinic environment.
Position Summary
The Aesthetic ARNP will serve as an independent clinical provider and will be primarily responsible for the development and delivery of aesthetic services. This role will play a key part in establishing treatment offerings, workflows, and patient experience for the clinic’s aesthetic expansion.
While the clinic also offers wellness-focused services, aesthetic medicine is the primary focus of this role. Participation in hormone-related or other wellness services may be available in the future based on provider interest and clinic needs, but is not required.
This position is initially part-time, with a clear opportunity to transition to full-time as the aesthetic service line grows.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent patient consultations, aesthetic assessments, and follow-up visits
  • Develop individualized aesthetic treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical judgment
  • Perform aesthetic procedures, including injectables and related treatments, within scope of practice
  • Establish and help refine aesthetic service workflows, protocols, and offerings in collaboration with clinic leadership
  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely clinical documentation in the EHR
  • Educate patients on aesthetic treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with Washington State regulations, clinical standards, and clinic policies
  • Contribute to the growth and sustainability of the aesthetic service line through quality care and patient engagement
Primary Focus of Services
  • Aesthetic services (primary responsibility)
  • Shockwave therapy
  • Wellness and integrative medicine services
  • Hormone-related services
Required Qualifications
  • Active Washington State ARNP license
  • Eligible for independent practice in Washington State
  • Prior clinical experience as an ARNP
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aesthetic medicine, including injectables
  • DEA registration (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience participating in service development or program growth
  • Interest in wellness or integrative care
Schedule & Compensation
  • Part-time position with a path to full-time
  • Compensation structure is negotiable and may include hourly, commission-based
  • Competitive, market-aligned compensation based on experience and scope of practice
  • Opportunity to increase earnings as the aesthetic service line grows
