Job Summary

Tutors work one-on-one and with groups of students to help them learn an academic subject or a specific skill.

Job Duties

  • Must effectively communicate with students to help them learn complex subject-matter while maintaining their professionalism.
  • Tutors should be organized and patient communicators with a friendly and approachable disposition that lends itself to work with students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
  • Tutoring sessions are typically scheduled for an hour.

Minimum Qualifications

Successfully completed the course which will be tutored with an A or high B.

Pay Rate: Starting pay is $10.00. Pay is increased based on experience and level of degree obtained.

Schedule/Hours: No more than 29 hours may be worked a week (hours depend on budget availability and need). Hours are scheduled during normal business hours of 8:00-4:30, as well as evenings.
