Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Driver with a Class B license to join our transportation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate refrigerated straight trucks to ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight across designated routes. As a CDL Driver, you will be the face of our company on the road, responsible for delivering goods efficiently while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and load handling will drive our success and customer satisfaction. This role is typically Monday-Thursday with occasional Fridays as needed, Home daily.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial straight trucks
  • Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
  • Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload freight accurately, verifying shipment contents against delivery documentation.
  • Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and address any issues promptly.

Experience

  • Proven experience operating commercial vehicles with a valid Class B CDL license.
  • Hands-on experience with manual transmission trucks preferred.
