Job description

As a Local CDL-A Driver, you will transport vehicles and other materials locally in support of all departmental workloads. This may include transportation and delivery, event support, photography support, bucks, standard freight, and other customer directed work. Local Drivers should expect their workload to be within a 75-mile operating range.  

Salary Overview:
The pay rate for this role starts at $26 per hour based on experience.

Hours:

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm.

Local CDL-A Driver Responsibilities Include: 

  • Maintain DOT logs of vehicle service and/or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.  
  • Assist with maintenance and compliance standards. 
  • Work outside of your normal job functions, depending on workload and company operating needs.  
  • Transport various materials including freight, vehicles, parts, and miscellaneous vehicle components. 
  • Complete a variety of work functions on behalf of the company. 
  • Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.  

Local CDL-A Driver Qualifications and Skills:  

  • Must have a valid CDL Class A Driver’s License. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to drive locally.  
  • Must be familiar with the operations of hydraulic-controlled ramps and doors within trailers.Â
