CDL Class A Local Drivers Home Daily

$29/hr + Safety & Compliance Bonus (Up to $31/hr Total)

Lautenbach Recycling is hiring CDL Class A Local Drivers for multiple homedaily driving positions. This is a great opportunity for experienced Class A CDL drivers looking for steady local work, excellent benefits, and a company that values safety and professionalism.


This is a fulltime, local CDL Class A driver position operating throughout Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, King, San Juan, and Island counties, primarily along the I5 corridor. Routes are local only no long haul, no overnight trips.

Drivers are assigned equipment based on experience and operational needs.


Equipment You May Operate

  • Rolloff trucks and rolloff trailers
  • 5th wheel tractors hauling containers
  • Straight trucks with trailers
  • Flatbed, landoll, tilt deck, and rollback equipment
  • Heavy haul and container delivery units

Rolloff or flatbed experience preferred, but training is available.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on local routes
  • Maintain DOT, FMCSA, and company safety compliance
  • Provide professional customer service at job sites
  • Perform daily pretrip inspections and basic equipment care
  • Accurately complete logs and required paperwork
  • Perform physical work throughout the day, including:
    • Frequent climbing in and out of trucks
    • Climbing trailer ladders
    • Lifting 5075 lbs
    • Securing and handling loads

Ideal for drivers who want active, handson local driving work.


Schedule

  • Fulltime, hourly local CDL position
  • MondayFriday (some flexibility required)
  • Shifts may include early mornings, afternoons, evenings, or nights
  • Average workweek: ~45 hours
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours


Pay

  • $29/hour base pay
  • +$2/hour Safety & Compliance Bonus
  • Total potential pay: up to $31/hour
  • Overtime paid at timeandahalf



Minimum Qualifications

Due to our strong safety culture, CDL applicants must meet the following:

  • Valid Class A CDL and current Medical Card
  • 13 years of commercial driving experience (position dependent)
  • 1 or fewer preventable/chargeable accidents in the past 3 years
  • 2 or fewer moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Zero reckless or careless driving violations
  • DUI policy:
    • Alcoholrelated offenses considered only with 510 years of clean driving, depending on role
  • Zero criminal offenses involving a commercial vehicle
  • Ability to lift 5075 lbs and work in an industrial environment
  • Strong communication skills and professional attitude

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Dump Truck, Rolloff, flatbed, landoll, or tiltdeck experience
  • Tanker endorsement
  • TWIC card
  • Forklift experience (up to 30k preferred)
  • Ability to work nights or flexible schedules
  • Ability to enter Canadax

Work is based out of ourMount Vernon Construction & Demolition Recycling Facilityand ourBellingham recycling facility, which processes a variety of recyclable materials. Both are active industrial sites with regular truck traffic, dust, and noise.
