Reports To: Gymnastics Coordinator
Job Summary
The Gymnastics Coach provides class instruction and coaching for children's gymnastics at the Chaska Community Center.
Responsibilities
  1. Works in tandem with another coach to oversee 10-12 students at once, providing instruction in the balance beam, vault, bars/rings and floor.
  2. Demonstrates age appropriate skills to child/children; explains, spots, and assists during learning process.
  3. Ensures gymnastics equipment is in working order and used according to safety standards.
  4. Maintains records for class participants, including attendance, injury, and evaluation documents.
  5. Regularly communicates with parents/guardians of participants, providing pertinent information and responses to questions and concerns and addresses and resolves problems with consultation or assistance from Gymnastics Coordinator.
  6. Provides orientation and guidance to new staff.
  7. Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.
