Job Summary
● Welcome to Spencer Orthopedics, where we strive to be a leader in Orthopedics through
a multidisciplinary approach with a team of Orthopedic Surgery, Chiropractic, and
Physical Therapy providers.
Responsibilities
● Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging for patient diagnosis and treatment
● Operate and maintain radiology equipment while ensuring patient safety and
comfort
● Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to assess imaging needs and
provide accurate results
● Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and hospital protocols
● Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with state and federal
regulations
● Provide compassionate care and clear instructions to patients during procedures
● Escorting patients from lobby, perform x-rays, uploads images to patient’s EMR chart,
and task Physician to do reading
● Responsible for completing weekly phantom testing.
● Responsible for recording radiographic time for each patient.
● Monitors and updates dosimetry badges monthly.
● Inspect all lead aprons and collars for defects every six months.
● Participates in training employees in equipment operation, patient movement and quality
measures.
● Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
● Maintains patient confidentiality.
● Participates in department quality improvement activities, as well as clinic safety,
infection control and hazardous materials programs.
Qualifications
● Active ARRT certification required*
● California Radiologic Technologist License required*
● BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required*
● Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
● Minimum 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist preferred
