NorCal Spine & Sport offers a modern, hands-on approach to injury recovery and wellness. We combine chiropractic care, physiotherapy, soft tissue work, and exercise therapy to help clients feel and move better. Our clinic is a trusted resource for athletes and active individuals across Northern California.


Location: El Dorado Hills/Folsom, CA

Schedule: Part-time, Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-5:30 PM

Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Benefits: Free chiropractic care for all active employees


NorCal Spine & Sport is seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Part-Time Front Office Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice. This person will support the patient experience and day-to-day front-office operations. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, patient-focused, brings good energy to the team, and is comfortable working in a busy healthcare environment.


Preferred Background

We're looking for someone with strong administrative and customer-service skills, good energy, a positive attitude, and a genuine team-oriented approach. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, comfortable working with patients, and willing to learn the clinic's systems, services, and procedures.


Previous experience in a medical office, chiropractic office, physical therapy clinic, healthcare setting, or other patient-facing environment is preferred.

Role Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phones, manage patient inquiries, and schedule appointments
  • Check patients in and out and help maintain smooth patient flow
  • Verify insurance information and collect applicable co-pays or payments
  • Assist patients with questions regarding payments, billing statements, and account information
  • Maintain accurate patient records and complete filing, scanning, faxing, and other administrative tasks
  • Use the clinic's EHR/practice-management system for scheduling and patient documentation
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
  • Communicate with providers and staff to support smooth daily operations
  • Learn and educate patients on provider specialties, treatments, and therapy services
  • Handle urgent or unexpected situations calmly and professionally

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of office, receptionist, administrative, or customer-facing experience
  • Previous healthcare or medical-office experience preferred
  • Experience with appointment scheduling and front-desk responsibilities
  • Familiarity with EHR or medical practice-management software preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures preferred
  • Experience with insurance verification, patient payments and medical billing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
  • Comfortable working with confidential information and following HIPAA requirements
