Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time / Part-Time

Job Description: Cashier / Waitress

Position Summary

Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction. Taking customer orders & delivering food & beverages. Taking orders by phone, ringing up sales, honoring coupons, making menu recommendations, and answering questions for customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation.
  • Attends to customers upon entrance.
  • Presents restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages.
  • Takes and serve orders.
  • Answers questions or makes recommendations for complementary products.
  • Collaborates with complaints or problems with a positive attitude.
  • Issues bills and accept payments correctly.
  • Performs side duties that include cleaning, restocking shelves, filling coolers, making coffee, tea and other duties as required.
  • Adhere to Julioโ€™s Seasoning & Corn Chips policies, procedures, and dress codes.

Qualifications

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED โ€“ WILL TRAIN

  • Proven restaurant waitering and cashier experience a plus, but not required.
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety.
  • Patience and customer-oriented approach.
  • Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.
  • Responsible and Trustworthy
  • Obtain and maintain a food handlerโ€™s permit.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred English is required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is a plus, but not required.

Working Conditions

Restaurant environment in a fast paced and repetitive job.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift to a max of 50 pounds.
  • The physical activity of this position includes, walking and standing, and carrying trays for long periods of time.

Schedule: 8-10 Hour Shift (morning or evening) Weekends and Overtime required.
