Position Summary
TheUNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary, part-time faculty toteach Chicano/a Studies courses. This will be a Fall 2026recruitment.
Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valenciacounty, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branchcampus of the University of New Mexico which functions as a community collegein the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With anemphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transferprograms, technical vocational programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit HighSchool/College courses to Valencia and Socorro.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Chicano/a Studies or related field

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience teaching at a post-secondary institution
  • Experience and/or certification to teach online
  • A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities
