Job description

We are always seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our award-winning team as bussers at Pequod's Pizza Chicago, rated number one in the country. As a busser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a clean and organized dining environment for our guests, supporting the front-of-house team, and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant. If you are dependable, hardworking, and passionate about providing exceptional service, we want to hear from you! We are currently looking to fill both part-time and full-time positions.
Responsibilities:
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently and promptly after guests have finished their meals, ensuring a clean and tidy dining environment for incoming guests by transporting dishes to bus tub, tray or dish room.
  • Restock products and supplies as needed in service stations, on the dining floor and behind the bars maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist servers and other team members as needed, such as running food, refilling beverages, and delivering additional items to tables.
  • Monitor dining areas for cleanliness and address spills, debris, and other maintenance issues promptly.
  • Empty and clean trash receptacles regularly to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Provide assistance to guests as needed, such as directing them to restrooms or answering questions about the menu.
  • Collaborate with servers, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to uphold food quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a busser or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests.

Compensation: $12.62 per hour + tips - with the opportunity to earn a competitive income through generous server tip-outs.
