Come Teach the Next Generation of Leaders the game of CHESS!

Are you looking for Part-time work with flexible hours? Join us and teach the game of chess in our after-school chess clubs across the Valley!

Chess Club locations include: Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Madison, Deer Valley, Cave Creek, Washington, Dysart, Litchfield Park, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Kyrene, Higley, Tempe, Queen Creek, and various Private/Charter schools across the Phoenix-Metro area.

Welcome to The Chess Emporium, a dedicated scholastic chess teaching company that has proudly been in business for 30 years. Our enduring commitment to fostering the intellectual and personal growth of students through chess has established us as a pillar in the educational community. Over the last three decades, more than 150,000 students have passed through our program, each embarking on a journey of strategic thinking and personal development.

As we continue to grow, we are on the lookout for the next generation of chess instructors—no grandmasters required, just a solid understanding of chess basics. We're seeking enthusiastic individuals eager to illuminate the minds of young chess enthusiasts and share the joy of learning across the Valley. If you're passionate about making a positive impact and nurturing the potential of young learners through the art of chess, join us in shaping the future one move at a time.

Qualifications:

  • IVP Card approval required (can apply during interview process)
  • Available for after-school teaching hours from 2pm to 5pm, Monday through Friday
  • Preferred minimum commitment of 3-4 days per week
  • Reliable transportation needed
  • A solid understanding of the chess basics
  • Must be located in the Phoenix Metropolitan area (no remote work available).

  • 3:00pm - Class Begins/Attendance & Group Class Lesson
  • 3:20pm - Structured Practice Time for Students
  • 4:00pm - Parent Pick Up
