What is a part time CFO for a hedge fund?

A part-time CFO (Chief Financial Officer) for a hedge fund is a financial executive who works on a flexible or reduced schedule, rather than as a full-time employee. They are responsible for overseeing the fund’s financial operations, including reporting, compliance, budgeting, and strategic planning. Engaging a part-time CFO allows hedge funds, especially smaller or emerging ones, to access high-level financial expertise without the cost of a full-time executive.
