Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is currently seeking a qualified and safety-minded, part-time CDL driver to join our team in our Coburg, OR Freightliner Northwest location.

The ideal candidate will have a current CDL with minimum required endorsements: trailer and passenger. Hours can very depending on needs.

Responsibilities

Job Summary - on-call, part-time

  • Pick up and deliver customer vehicles to and from their place of business within the specified regional area.
  • Knowledge of all laws and regulations as they pertain to transporting commercial vehicles.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate customers concerns and needs in an honest and professional manner to service advisors.
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work with limited supervision.
  • Must have flexibility with schedules as some extended work hours may be required depending on the business need.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Job Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Must have valid CDL driver's license. Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain.  3 years commercial over the road experience.

Qualifications: Must be dependable and reliable. Must be  professional and safety minded at all times. Excellent communication both verbal and written, listening skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Able to work with minimal supervision and direction. Must adhere to all DOT regulations.

Job Conditions

Physical Demands: Continuous sitting for periods up to 10 hours, in the seat and cab of a tractor (truck) during various weather and driving conditions. Occasional walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling and climbing as necessary.    

Environmental Demands: This position operates in all types of indoor and outdoor work environments, including inclement weather. Noise level is mild to moderate, which are normal for outdoor work.

Hours: This opening is part-time, less than 25 hours per week. Shift is on-call/as needed. Should be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, night and weekends.
