Job description

  • Our established private pediatric practice is seeking a compassionate and motivated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide comprehensive primary care to infants, children, and adolescents. The FNP will work closely with the pediatrician in a collaborative, team-based environment focused on high-quality, patient-centered care.

  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Perform well-child exams, sports physicals, and preventive visits
  • Conduct developmental screenings and provide anticipatory guidance
  • Diagnose and manage common acute pediatric conditions (e.g., URI, otitis media, gastroenteritis, minor injuries)
  • Manage stable chronic pediatric conditions in collaboration with the supervising physician
  • Administer and counsel regarding immunizations per CDC guidelines
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications according to state regulations
  • Provide education and counseling to parents and caregivers
  • Document encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record
  • Coordinate referrals to pediatric subspecialists when indicated
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC)
  • Active RN and APRN license in the state of practice
  • Current DEA registration
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • BLS certification required (PALS preferred)
