Part-time/Non-Exempt | Up to 29 hrs./week | Starting at $17.24/hour with an increase to $17.77 at six months | Operating Hours: Monday-Saturday 9am-7:30pm, Sunday 9am-5:30pm

Job Summary

In this part-time role, you will be a key member of the Stoughton St. Vincent de Paul thrift store team, which is tasked with delivering excellent service to our customers, donors and clients. Fundamental duties include cashiering, restocking merchandise and processing donations. This is an essential position that allows us to contribute to the many services SVdP provides!


What You’ll Do

  • Cashiering duties: operate cash register and process transactions accurately, assist customers with purchases and vouchers, educate customers on VIP and monthly Round-Up program
  • Provide customer and donor assistance throughout the store by answering questions, anticipating customer needs, offering help and encouraging sales
  • Restock merchandise on sales floor and price items as needed
  • Pull and sort product in accordance with company guidelines and safety protocols
  • Assist on donation dock by receiving and processing donations based on SVdP Take/Do Not Take guidelines and loading items onto a semi-trailer or into the stock room as appropriate
  • Help maintain cleanliness of the store by performing cleaning duties on a rotating assignment list
  • Support the effort to create a more inclusive and equitable organization
  • Adhere to Safeguarding Policy by ensuring timely completion of mandatory training and staying updated on relevant training modules
