Description
The Shuttle Driver provides safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for El Encanto team members between designated pick-up locations and the resort. As an ambassador of El Encanto, the Shuttle Driver ensures that every journey is comfortable, punctual, and reflective of the professional and gracious service standards for which the resort is known.
This role requires a dependable and safety-focused professional who exercises sound judgment, maintains discretion, and treats every team member with warmth and respect. The ideal candidate has an excellent driving record, remains calm in changing road and weather conditions, and takes pride in the appearance, cleanliness, and readiness of the shuttle vehicle.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safe & Reliable Transportation
  • Safely transport team members between designated pick-up and drop-off locations in accordance with established routes, schedules, and resort procedures.
  • Operate the shuttle defensively and responsibly while complying with all traffic laws, posted speed limits, passenger-capacity requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Monitor traffic, road, and weather conditions; select safe alternate routes when appropriate; and communicate delays or service interruptions promptly.

Vehicle Readiness & Operational Safety
  • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checks of tires, lights, mirrors, fuel, fluid levels, safety equipment, and the overall condition of the vehicle.
  • Maintain the shuttle in a clean, organized, fueled, and presentation-ready condition and promptly report mechanical concerns, damage, hazards, or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate transportation records, including mileage, passenger counts, fuel use, inspections, delays, incidents, and other required documentation.

Team Member Service & Communication
  • Welcome team members warmly, provide courteous assistance when entering or exiting the vehicle, and help with belongings when appropriate.
  • Coordinate proactively with Security, Human Resources, and resort operations regarding schedules, route changes, special transportation needs, and service updates.
  • Maintain a professional, calm, and discreet presence while protecting team-member privacy and responding appropriately to emergencies, accidents, or unexpected operational situations.
