Job description

Falls Delivery is proud to announce an industry-leading wage of $24 per hour for our Route Driver position.

If you are a safe, reliable, professional driver, can lift and carry 75 pounds, and meet the other job requirements, we want you on our team!

*******

Falls Delivery, LLC, (https://falls.delivery/) is a veteran-owned Amazon Delivery Service Partner. We are hiring motivated individuals to deliver bulk loads of Amazon packages to our small business partners up to 150 miles away from Sioux Falls. A typical route involves driving approximately 200-300 miles and making approximately 5 stops.

For safety reasons, we are currently only accepting applications from candidates with a home address within a 20-mile radius of our warehouse at 820 E. 60th St. N., Sioux Falls, SD.

Example towns within this area include: Sioux Falls, Brandon, Dell Rapids, Garretson, Valley Springs, Larchwood, Dayton, Worthing, Lennox, Humboldt, and Colton.

This is a regular (W-2) employee position delivering Amazon packages while driving a company vehicle (a cargo van like a Ford Transit or a RAM ProMaster), using a company mobile device, and wearing a company-provided branded uniform.

Approximate working hours are 5:15 am to 11:15 am (6 hours per day). This is a part-time position with a limit of no more than 30 hours per week. Employees usually work the same days every week, with a consistent and predictable schedule.

As a Route Driver, you will be the face of our company. It will be your job to consistently exceed customer expectations by making sure packages are delivered with a smile, on time, safely, and to the right location.

This is not a job with Amazon. Amazon is a global mega-corporation with tons of bureaucracy. This is a job with Falls Delivery, an independent company that has a contract with Amazon to deliver packages in and around Sioux Falls.

Falls Delivery is a local business where positive attitude, teamwork, and commitment to getting the job done matters most. The owner's name is Zack, and he delivers too. You will have his cell phone number and see him often.

About the job:

  • Route Drivers are part-time employees driving clean and modern company vehicles.
  • Branded company uniform.
  • Part-time position with a limit of 30 hours per week.
  • Shifts available 7 days per week. Generally, employees are expected to work at least one weekend day each week.
  • Deliver bulk loads of Amazon packages to our small business partners up to 150 miles away from Sioux Falls.
  • A typical route involves driving approximately 200-300 miles and making approximately 5 stops.
  • You will be part of the Falls Delivery team, a high-performing and collaborative group of great people who aredelivering the world to Sioux Falls.

Compensation and benefits:

  • $24 / hour base pay.
  • Weekly payroll (every Friday) by direct deposit.
  • Paid training.
  • Paid time off.
  • Retirement plan (401(k)) with company matching.
  • Additionally, work clothes, safety shoes, snacks, and other equipment are provided to all employees free of charge.

Basic job requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Be able to speak, read, and understand English for safety.
  • Have proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States.
  • Have a valid drivers license (a commercial drivers license (CDL) is NOT required).
  • Pass a 5-panel pre-employment drug test (marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, PCP). This is a safety-sensitive job in accordance with South Dakota law.
  • Pass pre-employment screening.
  • Be able to safely operate and navigate a delivery vehicle (cargo van), weighing 10,000 lbs. or less.
  • Be able to lift and carry parcels up to 75 lbs.
  • Be able to successfully use delivery devices and apps to complete daily tasks.
  • Besafe. It is more important that you return to the delivery station safe at the end of your route, with nobody hurt and with no damage to the van, than it is that you complete any delivery.
  • Bereliable. You must report to work on time every day that you are scheduled to work (schedules are published well in advance, and employees usually work the same days every week).

We provide paid training so that all of our employees feel confident on the road and the doorsteps of customers, and health and safety are always a top priority.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will be considered for employment, regardless of age, national origin, race, color, disability, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation.
