Position Overview
The Part-Time Camp Counselor assists with the oversight of the youth camp. Works under detailed instruction and close supervision.
Temporary summer position.
What you will be doing
  • Oversees an assigned group of campers in day to day activities
  • Learns the material and activities provided in advance
  • Takes initiative in all projects
  • Follows directions and coordinates events as instructed; attends mandatory training as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Possess special skills such as: interest in arts, crafts, computers, sports, science, environment, reading or math
  • Ability to be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods of time under varied environmental conditions
  • Ability to pass swim test, if required
  • Knowledge and training in CPR and First Aid
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
