About the Role

As a Closet & Shelving Sales/Design Consultant, you’ll meet with clients in their homes to understand their needs and create customized storage solutions that can truly improve their everyday lives.

This opportunity may be an excellent fit for retired teachers, nurses, stay-at-home parents, interior designers, professional organizers, remodelers, kitchen designers, real estate agents, retail professionals, single parents, or anyone looking for a rewarding side hustle. Previous sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home consultations and develop customized solutions based on each client’s needs
  • Educate clients about ShelfGenie products and demonstrate product samples
  • Highlight product features and benefits and present customized designs
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience from the initial consultation through follow-up
  • Build strong, ongoing relationships with clients
  • Participate in home and garden shows, fairs, and events
  • Meet with living-in-place communities and participate in digital marketing activities

Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation and an excellent driving record
  • Computer and cell phone with internet and email access
  • Strong reading, writing, basic arithmetic, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortable using modern communication and computer technology
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new situations, and think creatively
  • Interest in creating designs and helping people improve their homes
  • Previous sales experience is a plus
