Job Description Summary
The College of Business and Graduate School of Management seeks to establish a pool of potential graduate adjunct instructors to serve as dynamic and student-centered educators in service of the following academic areas: Business Analytics, Business Statistics, Data Visualization, Data Warehousing. Focused on experiential learning, and active engagement, adjuncts chosen to teach at Lewis will create a charismatic and professional learning environment for students of diverse learning backgrounds.
Adjunct positions at Lewis University are part-time teaching positions and may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an "as needed" basis. This posting may or may not result in the hiring of adjuncts. Adjunct Faculty provide a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis. Adjunct faculty report to their respective department chair and/or the dean and perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the University. The relationship of the adjunct faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning.

Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
-Teach one or more classes per semester on an as needed basis, either at the Romeoville and/or Oakbrook campus.
-Availability to teach course(s) at the Romeoville and/or Oakbrook campus
-Availability to teach during the weekday, evening and online
-Prepare course materials, syllabus(ai) and update Blackboard course shells (LMS platform)
-Participate in required University and College activities, trainings and certifications
-Provide support and guidance to students
-Cooperate with department chairs or other program faculty to assure quality and consistency across the program
Minimum Qualifications
A Master's degree in the chosen or related discipline is required. For example, for Business Analytics courses a Master's degree in Business Analytics, Management Sciences, or Management Information Systems is the minimum requirement.
Three years of professional or industry experience in the specific subfield being taught.
Candidates who have evidence of prior quality teaching and/or training experience required and who indicate a willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.
Possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in the chosen or related discipline (Business Analytics, Management Science or Management Information Systems) is preferred.
