Description:Part-Time Bus Driver

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Part-Time Bus Driver to transport children to and from our childcare center, schools, field trips, and other approved locations. The driver will ensure that every child is transported safely while maintaining a calm, positive, and professional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Safely transport children according to assigned routes and schedules.
  • Follow all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and center policies.
  • Complete required attendance checks and confirm that each child is released only to an authorized adult or staff member.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Check the entire vehicle after every route to ensure no child or personal item remains onboard.
  • Assist children with entering, exiting, seating, and securing seat belts or child-restraint systems.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly vehicle.
  • Report accidents, delays, vehicle concerns, and behavioral or safety issues immediately.
  • Maintain accurate mileage, inspection, attendance, and maintenance records.
  • Communicate professionally with children, families, school personnel, and center staff.
  • Assist with other center duties between routes when assigned.
Requirements:Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required.
  • Commercial driver’s license or additional endorsements required when applicable.
  • Ability to meet state childcare licensing, transportation, background-check, and drug-screening requirements.
