Job description

Position: School Bus DriverSchedule: Part-Time, Flexible
Looking for a part-time job with flexible hours, great pay, and a real sense of purpose? Lamers Bus Lines is hiring School Bus Drivers and Charter Bus Drivers who want to make a difference in their community every single day. No CDL yet? No problem - we'll train you and pay you while you learn.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Safely driving students to and from school on assigned routes
  • Transporting sports teams, groups, and charters to events
  • Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections
  • Creating a safe, positive experience for students and passengers.
What We're Looking For:
  • Valid driver's license held for at least 4 years
  • Good driving record
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Friendly, reliable, and punctual
  • Must complete a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
Why Drivers Choose Lamers Bus Lines:
  • Paid CDL Training - We pay you to earn your Commercial Driver's License, and our trainers guide you through the process.
  • Flexible Part-Time Hours - Morning, afternoon, and midday routes that work around your life. Evening and weekend charter opportunities available for extra income.
  • Monthly Bonus Opportunities - Our Safety & Attendance Bonus program rewards you for doing exactly what great drivers do: showing up and driving safely.
  • Child Ride-Along Program - Have young kids? Bring them along on your school route and save on childcare costs.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan - Start building your future from day one.
  • Health Insurance Available - Ask us about eligibility when you apply.
  • Extra Earning Potential - Pick up charter runs for sports teams, weddings, field trips, and special events on your own schedule.
A Note on our Bonus Program
At Lamers Bus Lines, we don't offer new hire bonuses - and that's intentional. Instead of flashy sign-on incentives designed to get people in the door, we believe in showing every single one of our drivers that they are valued every month, every year, for as long as they're part of our team. Some companies will dangle large bonuses with complicated requirements that are difficult to achieve, leaving drivers with little to show for their efforts once the new hire period ends.
At Lamers, our commitment to our drivers doesn't have an expiration date. All we ask is that you show up on time and drive safely - because drivers who do that deserve to be recognized and rewarded consistently, not just when they first walk through the door.
