SANY's Syracuse Academy of Science is excited to announce the opening for a Part-Time Bus Driver.

Immediate Supervisor: Transportation/Operations Manager

Primary Role and Purpose:

Operate school bus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from assigned destinations including but not limited to field trips, sporting events, and other school-related activities. Check the condition of vehicle tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and all safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order.


Qualifications:

  • Must have valid Drivers License with Passenger School Bus Endorsement
  • Fingerprint clearance through New York State Education Department
  • CDL B or higher
  • P endorsement (passenger)
  • S endorsement (school bus)
  • 3-year minimum school bus driving experience
  • A clean driver's license required
  • Flexibility (10-15 hours per week: days, nights, and weekends)
