SATURDAY & SUNDAY 5:00AM - 1:00PM are REQUIRED
Total of 16-24 hrs / week
Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs maintenance scheduled duties on baggage handling system
• Clears passenger bag jams from conveyer belt system
• Maintains airport owned buildings and grounds.
• Replaces light bulbs and maintains light fixtures.
• Paints interior and exterior structures and performs general building maintenance.
• Maintains equipment, tools and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Reports irregularities and abnormal conditions at the airport.
• Performs duties in accordance with the airport's safety rules and operating regulations and practices.
• Directs the work of employees assigned to assist and assists employees of equal or higher classification.
• Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge and Abilities
• Knowledge of conveyer belt systems is a plus
• Ability to perform assigned tasks independently involving proper use of airport equipment;
• Ability to perform routine maintenance;
• Ability to properly use two-way radio equipment and safely operate equipment on the airfield.
• Knowledge of building material selection and application;
• Knowledge of building hardware and its maintenance;
Requirements
Experience and Education Requirements
High School or equivalent with at least three years of work experience in maintenance (i.e., equipment operation, building maintenance, construction, electrical systems maintenance); requires basic computer operations experience, including email (Microsoft products desirable).
Special Requirements
• Pass a pre-hire drug screen and random alcohol and drug testing.
• Pass federal fingerprint based criminal history background check.
