Facilities Maintenance Technician
Full Time | Day Shift
Pay: $20 - $22/hour PLUS paid mileage between facilities!

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Building Maintenance Technician for LSS Affordable Senior Housing to split time between two senior living facilities in Columbus.; Little Brook Place - 5911 Little Brook Way and North Community Place - 120 Morse Rd.

Responsibilities for a Building Maintenance Technician:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and facility systems.
  • Complete basic carpentry, painting, flooring, and custodial tasks as needed.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure all equipment and utility rooms are clean and organized.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventories, work orders, and inspections.
  • Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests, communicating with residents and the community manager.
  • Perform regular property inspections and seasonal tasks such as snow removal and grounds keeping.
  • Support compliance with HUD, OSHA, and LSS safety standards, including participation in inspections.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Assist in unit turnover and reconditioning for new residents.

Requirements for a Building Maintenance Technician:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in building maintenance or related field.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards.
