JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction and supervision of the Facility Manager, provide service to facility patrons, set-up and take down rooms for scheduled events, prepare gym for events and perform custodial services.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Knowledge of floor care, cleaning practices and cleaning products
• Familiarity with sport and gymnasium equipment and its care
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Ability to establish a positive rapport by using tact and discretion with patrons and staff
• Ability to recognize public safety concerns and the initiative to act upon
• Knowledge of customer service philosophies and practices
• Ability to work independently
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors
• Collect trash and empty trash receptacles and remove debris in and around the inside and the outside surrounding areas of the buildings
• Clean and disinfect tables and chairs, drinking fountains, kitchen appliances, and restrooms
• Fill and maintain soap dispensers, toilet paper, and paper towels
• Wash windows, walls and fixtures
• Regularly inspect and as necessary clean restrooms, locker rooms and showers and fill out rest room logs
• Assist with set up and take down of tables and chairs for meetings and prepare gymnasium for scheduled activities per the direction of the Facility Manager
• Inform supervisor of any needs for the facility or customers.
• Attend staff meetings and training as directed by supervisor
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Abide by the Bolingbrook Park District dress code for your area
• Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the District's safety program
• Work as a Team Player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Walking: to move through the facility and clean floors
Seeing: to retrieve cleaning supplies, to notice items that need attention, to write work orders
Sitting: to monitor the facility
Talking/Hearing: to communicate with public and staff
Reaching: to clean equipment and common areas
Stooping: to clean equipment and common areas
Pulling: to move furniture/equipment; to sweep floor
Pushing: to move furniture/equipment; to sweep and vacuum, to use cleaning cart
Lifting: to move furniture/equipment
Climbing: a ladder to reach equipment with 3 points of contact
COGNITIVE CONSIDERATIONS
Must have the ability to read, write and organize materials. Ability to relate to others in a professional manner. Must exhibit good safety awareness and judgment. Must remain focused despite external and internal distractions.
HOURS
Hours include evenings and weekends and are limited to 28 hours per week. Schedule is set by the Facility Manager.
