Now Hiring: After Care Program Teacher - School Age Program
Premiere Childcare Center in McLean, VA
We are seeking an enthusiastic After Care Program Teacher to lead and oversee our School Age Program. This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM, perfect for educators who are passionate about creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and engage children in a safe, supportive setting
  • Oversee daily program operations and ensure compliance with state licensing standards
  • Provide homework help and organize engaging activities
  • Manage classroom behavior and implement school policies
  • Transport children in a 15-passenger van when needed (valid license required)
  • Maintain Brightwheel app updates, vehicle logs, and other assigned paperwork
  • Ensure safety protocols are always followed
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and staff
Applicant Requirements:
  • 25 years of age or older
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Willing to complete MAT (Medication Authorization Training)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare program with school-age children
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (preferred, not required)
  • Must successfully pass all background checks
