Have you always wanted to work in a Christian Bookstore? We are looking for a part-time Assistant Retail Store Manager with the potential to grow into a full-time position. As the leading Christian Store in northeast Pennsylvania, we help Catholics and people of all Christian denominations live, share, and celebrate their faith.

We are looking for someone who is willing and able to be the key person when the owner is not present. This involves answering customer questions and coordinating with other employees about other work such as restocking, returns, and maintaining an attractive, clean, and orderly store.

The position entails proactively engaging with customers and providing a wonderful shopping experience. This requires great customer service skills, including patience and active listening, to ensure our customers feel heard and helped.

The successful candidate will also have good time management skills to set realistic deadlines and follow specific steps to achieve time-sensitive objectives.

As Assistant Manager, your daily tasks will vary greatly. You will help customers select gifts, books, and Bibles. You will need to help customers with a wide variety of products. This requires maintaining knowledge of the store’s merchandise and its exact location. You will need to be proficient in using our computer to check stock and manage special orders, too.

As Assistant Manager, you will also need to creatively display new products after entering them into the database. We feature new items each month in our sale catalog, and these items need to be prominently displayed so customers can easily find them.

We are a Christian Book and Gift store serving eastern PA with a curated selection of gifts and books that bring the joy of Christ to our customers. We help our customers find the right book or Bible translation for their personal use or gift. We also sell baptism and memorial gifts as well as gifts for birthdays, First Communion, and Confirmation. We have a large selection of crosses, crucifixes, and patron saint medals. We want anyone who is seeking to grow in their Christian faith the feel welcome and encouraged in our store.
