Job description

JOB OVERVIEW: Seeking a professional attendant to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties. The attendant will be responsible for clean-up of common areas of Landshark Landing, and Dock Assistants, this includes parking lots, restrooms, trash cans, beach clean-up, working the dock to help guests tie up to the slips He/She will oversee maintaining all public and private spaces to employer standards. Duties will include dock assistance of boaters, surface cleaning, bathroom services, beach raking, leaf blowing. Attention to detail and a positive attitude is a must. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Cleaning walkways
  • Assisting boat guests with tie off and sail offs.
  • Insuring that boat guest don’t bring drinks or personal food to the landing.
  • Using leaf blower and blowing dirt and sand off the landing and making sure it is clean of debris.
  • Disposing of trash from bins/containers and cleaning; including parking lots
  • Polishing furniture and beach chairs
  • Driving security boat to insure boat safety in the cove.
  • Insuring that guest are not beyond the swim barriers in the lake.
  • Maintaining and upkeep of all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products
  • Ensuring safe and sanitary storage and care of products
  • Keeping all public spaces neat and tidy
  • Reporting repairs and replacements as needed when encountered on the job.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle report for 3 years.
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during the daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time; physically able to push rake for sand, and use blower for extended periods of time. Ability to lift to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • General knowledge of cleaning products, supplies, and techniques for cleaning.
  • Able to work early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Able to handle regular exposure to outside weather conditions daily.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment.
  • Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Pushing, pulling and lifting objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally, from position to position.
  • Feeling or grasping objects of different size and shape.
  • Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Will be required to use physical capabilities including climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
  • Must be able to carry loads up to or greater than 30 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with our guests in the primary language of the restaurant, specific to location. (Primarily English)
  • Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Exposed to weather conditions and prevalent temperature changes.
  • Subject to moderate to high ambient noise levels.
  • Frequently required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
  • Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping.
  • Frequently required to wash hands and/or wear gloves.
