How much do part time bioreactor jobs pay per week?

As of May 31, 2026, the average weekly pay for part time bioreactor in the United States is $1,979.67, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $1,375.00 and $2,576.92 per week, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part-Time Bioreactor Operator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part-Time Bioreactor Operator, you need a background in biology, biotechnology, or chemical engineering, along with experience in laboratory practices and sterile techniques. Familiarity with bioreactor control systems, data logging software, and safety protocols is typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and strong communication skills help ensure precise operation and effective teamwork. These skills are important to maintain optimal cell cultures or fermentation processes, ensure safety, and achieve consistent bioproduct yields.

What are some common challenges faced by part-time bioreactor operators, and how can they be managed?

Part-time bioreactor operators often face the challenge of staying up-to-date with process changes and maintaining continuity in experiments or production runs, since they may not be present every day. Effective communication with full-time team members and thorough documentation are essential to ensure smooth transitions between shifts. Additionally, learning to quickly diagnose and respond to technical issues within limited working hours is important. Proactively seeking updates and participating in team meetings, even remotely, helps part-time operators stay informed and engaged.

What does a Part Time Bioreactor do?

A Part Time Bioreactor typically assists with the operation and maintenance of bioreactors, which are vessels used for growing organisms such as bacteria or cells under controlled conditions. Their duties may include monitoring equipment, preparing media, taking samples, recording data, and ensuring that the bioprocess runs smoothly. Because the role is part-time, hours and specific responsibilities may vary, but the position is important for supporting research and production in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or academic labs.

What is the difference between Part Time Bioreactor vs Part Time Laboratory Technician?

AspectPart Time BioreactorPart Time Laboratory Technician
