Job Overview 
As an EVS Aide, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hospital premises. You will be responsible for ensuring a sanitary and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness will contribute to the overall quality of care provided at our hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, common areas, offices, and other hospital spaces according to established protocols.
  • Empty trash and biomedical waste containers and ensure proper disposal.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and fixtures to prevent the spread of infections.
  • Restock supplies such as towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and steam cleaners.
  • Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services, ensuring a timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Environmental Services Director.
  • Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc. team. 
     

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping services preferred, especially in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, disinfection procedures, and handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleaning standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
