How you'll contribute
A Medical Technologist who excels in this role:
  • Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states.
  • Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services.
  • Essential Functions Additional Information
  • Patient Populations Served: Does not directly treat or care for patients.
  • Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
  • Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.
  • Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, computer/data entry, and equipment handling; occasional standing, walking, and light lifting.
  • Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

What we're looking for
  • Minimum Education Bachelor's degree
  • Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must reflect education requirements).
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Valid driver license
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP); ASCP or equivalent registry
