Job description

Law Offices of Daniel A. Lorber, PC is seeking a professional, dependable, and friendly Part-Time Bilingual Receptionist to assist with front desk, phone, and client intake duties at a busy law firm. This position is primarily for Saturdays, with possible additional weekday or evening hours as needed.

The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish, comfortable speaking with clients, and able to work in a fast-paced professional office environment.

Position Overview

The receptionist will serve as a first point of contact for clients, prospective clients, courts, agencies, and other callers. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, organization, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering and routing phone calls in English and Spanish.
  • Greeting clients and visitors professionally.
  • Scheduling consultations and appointments.
  • Assisting with new client intake.
  • Taking detailed messages and ensuring proper follow-up.
  • Communicating with clients about appointments, documents, payments, and general office matters.
  • Scanning, uploading, filing, and organizing documents.
  • Assisting with mail, copies, and general office tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
  • Supporting attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants should have:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish required.
  • Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive during busy periods.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, scanning, and document management.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred but not required:

  • Prior receptionist or administrative experience.
  • Prior law office experience.
  • Prior immigration law office experience.
  • Experience with Clio, LawPay, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar systems.
  • Experience assisting with client intake or document collection.

Schedule

Part-time position.
Primarily Saturdays.
Additional hours may be available during the week or evenings depending on office needs.

Compensation

Pay commensurate with experience.
