Adamah is the leading Jewish environmental organization in North America.
At Adamah, we believe in the deep connection between people and planet, in Hebrew - adam and adamah. Every day, we help people feel that connection, spark Jewish inspiration, and help build a more sustainable future for all. And because we are the link between our ancestors and our descendants, we are called in this generation to respond to the existential crises of our time with the full power of the Jewish spirit. Our mission is to create vibrant Jewish life in deep connection with the earth, catalyzing culture change and systemic change through immersive retreats, Jewish environmental education, leadership development, and climate action.

Job Summary:
Adamah NY seeks an experienced, dynamic, entrepreneurial and mission-driven Climate Action & Resilience Manager to expand climate mitigation and resilience efforts across NY’s Jewish community institutions.
This is a highly strategic, public-facing role for a relationship-builder who is passionate about climate action, climate resilience, and Jewish community engagement. Working closely with the Adamah NY Director and Adamah’s national Climate Action Team, the Manager will help launch a new Climate Security & Resilience program that helps communities prepare for, withstand, and recover from climate-related disruptions.
Working in partnership with Jewish communal institutions and leaders, government agencies, emergency management professionals, utilities, and nonprofit partners the Manager will strengthen institutional preparedness, expand climate action across New York's Jewish community, and position Adamah NY as a trusted leader at the intersection of climate, resilience, and Jewish communal life.
The Manager will be supported by a part-time Administrative Coordinator, working together to deliver programs, coordinate communications and logistics, manage partnerships, and support the continued growth of Adamah NY's climate initiatives.
This position offers a rare opportunity to help build one of North America's first Jewish communal climate resilience initiatives while expanding climate action across New York's Jewish community. Working closely with Adamah NY staff, national colleagues, communal leaders, and external partners, the Manager will play a central role in developing climate action and resilience programs, cultivating strategic partnerships, supporting institutions in implementing climate solutions, and guiding members of the Jewish Climate Leadership Coalition through the development and execution of their Climate Action Plans. The Manager will also help advance Adamah's Climate Action Fund and contribute to the growth of innovative climate and resilience initiatives across the region.
