Description:
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center/Mount Sinai Rehabilitation/Behavioral Health the Assistant Nurse Manager-internally classified as Nursing Supervisor - NL I-supports the Nurse Manager in administrative and managerial duties while guiding the healthcare team in delivering best clinical practices within the behavioral health setting.
What you will do:
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing unit personnel and maintaining a safe, efficient, and supportive nursing environment.
  • Supervise charge nurses and frontline staff, contributing to staff coordination, scheduling, and throughput.
  • Participate in hiring, performance management, and staff development.
  • Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead by example, fostering respectful communication, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Support evidence-based practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Drive effective patient care outcomes and operational performance through transformational leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Valid RN license in Connecticut.
  • The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in Behavioral Health nursing along with
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in Behavioral Health nursing (2+ years) and leadership roles such as, Charge Nurse, Supervisor, Assistant Nurse Manager (2+ years).

Preferred:
  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
