Position Summary

Concessions Bartenders at OVG must consistently meet the company's high standards for guest interaction, professionalism, and teamwork. The role involves handling all beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike, ensuring safe and responsible service in compliance with federal and state regulations. Concessions Bartenders play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by recommending beverages, managing orders efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. They are expected to be knowledgeable about various beer, wine, and spirit selections to upsell and personalize guest recommendations. The position also requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to de-escalate conflict, and a strong sense of responsibility, including cash handling and inventory management. Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
  • Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures, including state and federal regulations
  • Learn and suggestively upsell various beer, wines, and spirits to guests
  • Pour drinks responsibly according to company standards for serving size
  • Check guest IDs in accordance with age verification regulations
  • Communicate cut-off to guests as required
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security as needed
  • Request additional products or restock as required
  • Maintain issued bank at the bar
  • Keep a clean and sanitary workstation, ensuring bar equipment is well-maintained
  • Set up and break down bar equipment and assist with organizing the cooler as needed
Qualifications
  • Six months or more experience bartending
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Bartending school preferred
  • MAST Certification
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours
