As a part-time Baptist Church music leader, you can expect to plan and lead worship services, coordinate with the pastor and other ministry staff, and rehearse with the choir or praise team throughout the week. Responsibilities often include selecting appropriate hymns or contemporary songs that align with the sermon message, organizing rehearsals (usually in the evenings or weekends), and sometimes overseeing audio/visual aspects of worship. Collaboration and communication skills are important, as you’ll work closely with both volunteer musicians and church leadership.
