Job description

Position:  Vault Clerk

Department: Hospitality

Reports to:  Vault Supervisor 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Vault Clerk is responsible for executing an assortment of clerical accounting tasks, such as compiling and sorting cash, calculating and verifying amounts, and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the Vault Supervisor. This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position.

A typical shift includes:

  • Manually counting and/or using cash counters to verify floats and cash drops
  • Verifying, recording, and witnessing cash amounts turned in by hospitality supervisors
  • Preparing bank deposits in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Reporting all questionable transactions and/or documentation to the Vault Supervisor
  • General cleaning and maintenance of vault room
  • Other duties as required

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to handle large amounts of currency and coin
  • Cash handling and balancing experience
  • Must be able to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays with shifts that end at 12am
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand during scheduled shift
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Detail oriented with basic arithmetic skills, and strong clerical and processing skills
