These jobs can include tasks such as data entry, record keeping, processing paperwork, handling accounts, and other organizational duties. Working part time means the hours are less than a standard full-time schedule, offering flexibility for students, parents, or those seeking supplemental income. Back office positions are essential for keeping a company running smoothly behind the scenes.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a part time back office employee and how do they support frontline operations?

Their work is crucial in ensuring that frontline staff, such as customer service or sales teams, have accurate and up-to-date information to serve clients efficiently. While much of the work is done independently, back office staff often collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies or provide administrative support. This role is designed for clinicians who want to focus on high-impact, in-person clinical work, without the responsibility of managing the full case. At Actify, primary BCBAs handle case ownership and administrative demands, allowing co-consulting BCBAs to concentrate on direct clinical oversight, team support, and quality of care.

Position Overview

This is a supplemental, in-person clinical role supporting existing cases. The BCBA in this position will:

  • Provide in-person supervision for approximately 25% of assigned cases

  • Conduct 1 hour per month of parent training per case

  • Support treatment integrity and clinical quality through in-person presence

  • No primary responsibility for treatment plan ownership, report writing, or case management

Why This Role

  • Focus purely on clinical impact, not admin

  • No primary caseload responsibility

  • Structured, predictable expectations

  • Ideal for BCBAs seeking part-time, flexible, or reduced-responsibility roles

  • Strong clinical leadership and support already in place

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly compensation

  • Flexible scheduling based on availability

  • Professional, responsive back-office support

  • Collaborative clinical environment

  • Access to CEU library and professional development resources

  • Streamlined systems designed to minimize administrative burden

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person supervision to RBTs on assigned cases

  • Deliver monthly parent training sessions (1 hour per case)

  • Support implementation of treatment plans developed by primary BCBAs

  • Provide feedback to clinical team to maintain high-quality service delivery

  • Ensure services align with ethical and regulatory standards

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay Range: $100-$115 per hour

  • Schedule: Flexible

  • Hours: Part-time preferred (based on case needs)

  • Location: Columbia, MD 21045 and surrounding areas (in-person services required)

Qualifications

  • Active BCBA certification required

  • Active Maryland LBA required

  • Experience supervising RBTs in home-based ABA services

  • Strong clinical judgment and in-session coaching ability

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with primary BCBAs and families

Ideal Candidate

This role is a strong fit for a BCBA who:

  • Prefers hands-on, in-person clinical work

  • Does not want the responsibility of managing a full caseload

  • Is looking for flexibility while still making a meaningful impact

  • Enjoys supporting teams and strengthening treatment implementation
