Job description

Security Officer - Airport Access Control

We are hiring multiple part-time security officers who are experienced and ready to deliver exceptional customer service.

The individual in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by logging and verifying visitors, monitoring premises, and enforcing safety and security policies.

Duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Provide concierge-style service for private aviation clients; verify credentials and maintain accurate, complete records of all guests, visitors, and clients entering and exiting the facility.

• Control and limit access at entry points, including managing visitor sign-in/out logs, verifying identification badges, and issuing temporary badges in accordance with site procedures.

• Log inbound and outbound visitors (vehicles and pedestrians) and respond to phone calls by answering, screening, and routing to appropriate parties.

• Maintain vigilance and situational awareness; monitor for and respond to emergencies (medical, fire, weather) per post orders and training.

• Walk between vehicle and pedestrian gates and perform routine post duties in indoor/outdoor environments and varied weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Sit and/or stand for extended periods as required by the post, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Accurately and efficiently enter data into approved software/systems; follow written and verbal directions from client personnel and Prosegur supervisory/management staff.

• Interact professionally and courteously with customers, employees, visitors, and vendors; maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company policy.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned consistent with business necessity and post orders.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.

• Basic computer proficiency and accurate data-entry skills.

• Strong time-management; punctual and reliable.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities and exercise sound judgment under pressure.

• Effective written and oral communication skills, including proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.

• Ability to obtain and maintain any site-required access credentials/badges in accordance with client requirements.

• Willing and able to complete background check and drug screening, where permitted by law, following a conditional offer of employment. As well as be able to obtain an airport badge.
