Job description

As a Part-Time AV & Event Equipment Technician, you will play a vital role in preparing, maintaining, and organizing our audio/visual inventory to support successful events. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with sound and lighting equipment, solving problems, and contributing to a dynamic team environment. Responsibilities
  • Prepare, test, and organize AV equipment for upcoming events
  • Maintain and organize inventory, including powered PA speakers, microphones (wired & wireless), mixers, projectors and screens, cables (audio, power, DMX, etc.), and lighting systems
  • Properly wrap, label, and store cables and equipment
  • Troubleshoot basic audio and lighting issues
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and staging equipment for events
  • Ensure all gear is clean, functional, and event-ready
  • Track missing or damaged equipment and report as needed
Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of powered PA speakers, microphones and signal flow, and mixers
  • Comfortable working with cables, gear setup, and teardown
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to approximately 50 lbs)
  • Dependable and able to work independently
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Preferred: Experience in live events, DJing, AV, or production
