Job description

Part-Time AV Technician
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Perform daily operations of the audiovisual systems (audio set and strike, RF cable distribution, intercom and scoreboards/video boards) set and strike scorer's table; set and strike stats monitors.
  • Set, operate and strike all aspects of the audiovisual systems for Toyota Center events, including basketball, third party and internal events. Able to set up, run and strike portable PA systems.
  • Assist Game Operations with technical aspects of gameday production.
  • Maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair components of the audiovisual systems.
  • Set, operate and strike press conference audio and lights.
  • Route proper audio and video signals to private and common-area monitors, broadcasters, replay control room and team video rooms.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with contractors/vendors.
  • Demonstrates our One Team philosophy of Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Teamwork.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School graduate, some college preferred. CTS Certification a plus
  • Minimum 3 years experience in AV.
  • Excellent customer service skills proven through demonstrated ability to interact well with people and help others.
  • Technical aptitude and basic knowledge of audio and video equipment, terminology and software and hardware.
  • Must demonstrate basic knowledge of RF and audio signal flow and characteristics.
  • Portrays a professional image to meet company dress code requirements.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to properly operate small and large live sound reinforcement consoles.
  • Ability to solder audio cables and/or components.
  • Must be familiar with cable types, terminations and wrapping techniques.
  • Experience with ClearCom and/or Riedel intercom systems is a also a plus

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
  • The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
  • The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
  • The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
