Do you take pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments? As a Custodian with Facilities Maintenance & Operations - Building Custodial, you'll play an essential role in maintaining County buildings by ensuring offices and public spaces are clean, organized, and ready to serve employees and the community. Your work will have a direct impact on the daily experience of everyone who enters our facilities.
What You'll Do
• Clean and maintain County offices and buildings by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
• Empty waste receptacles and ensure workspaces and common areas remain neat and presentable.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms with necessary supplies.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies to support daily operations and facility needs.
• Receive, unload, and store deliveries as needed.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for employees and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Have passed their 18th birthday; OR be at least 16 years old and a high school graduate; OR have completed the state requirements for the General Educational Development Test (GED); OR be an emancipated minor.
Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical established for this classification.
NOTE: A valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license will be required for certain positions. Out of Country driver's license holders will be required to obtain the appropriate valid State of Michigan driver's license before the hire date.
Successfully complete the six month probationary period.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must maintain a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license (for positions which require driving).
