Job description

Part-Time Automotive Detailer

Kocourek Nissan|Kia is looking for a Part-Time Automotive Detailer to help keep our new and used vehicles looking their best. If you take pride in your work, have an eye for detail, and enjoy working with vehicles, this could be a great opportunity to join our team.

No two vehicles are exactly the same, so we're looking for someone who is dependable, takes initiative, and understands that the little details make a big difference.

Essential Functions
  • Washes vehicle exteriors, cleans interior windows, and wipes down door jambs.

  • Vacuums vehicle interiors and removes dirt, debris, and other materials.

  • Cleans upholstery, carpets, rugs, vinyl, leather, and other interior surfaces using appropriate cleaning products and equipment.

  • Applies wax, polish, dressing, and other products to maintain and restore vehicle appearance.

  • Uses carpet extractors, buffers, steam-cleaning equipment, and other detailing tools as needed.

  • Applies appropriate cleaners to remove stains, grease, dirt, and other materials that cannot be removed through normal cleaning procedures.

  • Cleans and restores engine compartments and engine areas using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents.

  • Applies appropriate conditioners and preservation products to vinyl, leather, and fabric surfaces.

  • Applies tire and wheel-well dressing.

  • Inspects vehicles for noticeable dents, scratches, torn upholstery, missing parts, or other concerns and reports them to management.

  • Performs minor appearance restoration using touch-up paint, dyes, and other approved materials when appropriate.

  • Replaces missing or defective small parts as directed.

  • Fuels vehicles as needed.

  • Ensures required vehicle stickers are properly displayed.

  • Removes window stickers from sold vehicles.

  • Maintains showroom and inventory vehicles in a clean, organized, and presentable condition.

  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.

  • Uses all tools, equipment, and cleaning products safely and according to manufacturer recommendations.

  • Wears appropriate personal protective equipment when handling products or performing tasks requiring protection.

  • Reports safety concerns, vehicle damage, or other issues to management immediately.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.

  • Dependable and able to work independently.

  • Valid driver's license required to perform essential job functions.

  • Successfully completes the pre-employment drug screening.
Hours

Part-Time-FLEXIBLE HOURS

  • Mondayโ€“Friday: Approximately 3:30 PM to close

  • Saturdays: Rotating schedule

  • Schedule may vary based on business needs.

Attire

Kocourek Automotive uniforms provided.

Physical Demands
  • Periodic lifting and carrying of objects weighing 50+ pounds.

  • Ability to reach above and below shoulder level.

  • Ability to push materials/parts carts and assist with pushing vehicles.

  • Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching while detailing vehicles.

  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to operate detailing tools and equipment.

  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.

  • May be required to inspect or move vehicles outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, dust, water, and noise in the Service Department/Detail Shop.
