Job Summary Job Summary Provides a variety of specialized duties which support and serve students who require Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies and Discrete Trial Training (DTT) School and/or Home Programs; provides directed learning experiences; performs clerical duties; and performs related work as required. The Behavior Intervention Assistant administers ABA/DTT to students with autism and related disorders in various settings. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent and completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher learning or attainment of an Associate's Degree in a related field, such as psychology or child development.
Two years of directly related experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Multiple Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance or Mental Disabilities. Education and experience may be substituted for each other on a one to one basis. Licenses & Certificates: Valid California driver's license.
Crisis Prevention Intervention and Applied Assaultive Training Certificates will be required before start of assignment. Completion of District sponsored two-day Autism training. Valid first aid and CPR certificates.
